Pelosi Is Partying High on Our Dime(s)
I just ran across an excellent yet infuriating article on World Net Daily, “Taxpayers pay $101,000 for Pelosi’s in-flight ‘food, booze‘” written by Bob Unruh.
Apparently, Nancy is using our Air Force as her own personal taxi, scheduling flights and then canceling them or telling them to “hold on a minute“! Sheesh! Who does this woman think she is and why is she still there in Washington, D.C.?
But, what is more infuriating is what she’s doing mid-flight! Nancy is putting a whole new face on the “mile-high club” while she gets to know Jim Beam, Jack Daniel’s and Johnny Walker better, to name a few!
Yes, it seems as though our Speaker of the House has a little habit that may explain why she calls Border Agents thugs or makes promises to the camera that no matter what the American people want, she will do whatever it takes to see that she’s the only one who wins! She just might have herself a little drinking problem!!
I found myself a little more than vexed while I read that it’s costing every tax payer a $1000 a week for this vile woman to drink her way over the country that she’s trying to destroy! But, I had to keep reading…

Judicial Watch said the newly obtained 2,000 pages of documentation show Pelosi’s military travel cost the U.S. Air Force $2,100,744.59 over two years – including $101,429.14 for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.
Isn’t that just maddening? Not to mention that Nancy used our Air Force rather than commercial flights racking up $28,210.51 per flight and that out of 103 Pelosi-led congressional delegations (CODEL), 31 trips included members of the House speaker’s family! Twenty-eight thousand dollars!! That’s PER FLIGHT!! When is the last time you had $28 grand to blow like that?
There are so many groups trying to get Nancy Pelosi out of Washington! Don’t worry. She is up for re-election November of 2010, thank God!! Although Cindy Sheehan is the only opponent, there is time. Oh yes, there is time!
I wonder if Bugs Bunny is busy!

Morgan Harrington’s Remains Found
It is with heavy heart that I report that Morgan’s remains were found 10 miles from the concert venue that she was last seen after a Metallica concert. A woman with dark clothing matching Morgan’s description was found in a remote hayfield. My heart goes out to the Harrington family and to all who have had to live through this horrible ordeal.

Are They White House Gate Crashers Or Invited Guests?
There have been three major publicized White House security breaches in the last few months. There is the couple that dazzled their way into the White House State dinner, the family that rode up to the front door in their family SUV as if they were in one of those “Vacation” movies and another reported incident also on the night of the White House State dinner. Apparently, a male party promoter traveling with someone from India wasn’t invited but attended the dinner. Oh my!
But, isn’t that what Obama promised in his campaign speech? Didn’t he say that it was “our White House”?
Is there anything that we can believe with this man?
It is our White House! We’re paying for it through the nose!
He’s blowing our money as if he’s trying to single-handedly take down our economy among other things, so isn’t it our right to take him up on at least ONE of his promises?
I’ve never seen Washington, D.C. up-close! I can’t afford it! Maybe I should take him up on his offer! Sounds good to me! Maybe I will see ya there!?

I’m Guilty of Having Something To Give
While at the grocery store today, I noticed the Food Bank of South Jersey donation slips at the register. It’s not unusual…I see them every week! And every week I pass them by since I typically donate $25 through the food bank’s online donation link.
Unfortunately, this year my husband and I have been “kicked in the shins” as many have been and my good intentions have been left to cool while I take care of the bills that are burning through their envelopes!
Yes, 2009 brought down my charitable giving to hardly nothing. My apologies to my local fire company, Alex’s Lemonade Stand and the food bank.
So, there I stood at the register with the little stubs that the cashier scans if you are donating to the food bank and my conscience was burning to pull off a ticket. At first I reached for the $1 ticket and thought, “how lame!” and I moved along to the $2 donation stub when I realized that not only am I there buying groceries, but when I get home I have to throw away Christmas left-overs! Oh the guilt!
The $5 stub was in my hand before I could stop myself and I made sure to hand it to the young lady before I changed my mind and embarrassed myself!
It didn’t hurt, though! Not one bit! And no, it is not my usual donation amount but what seems like a little to me is a lot to someone in need!
Imagine if we all chose just one of those stubs, whether it be a dollar each time you visit or even once, or a $5 donation because you can…it all adds up! I cannot imagine being in a position to need a food bank and I am grateful, but I am also aware that it could be any of us in the near future.

Steal From Me, Please!
As times get tougher, I notice a wave of future victims coming out of the woodwork in droves. Those people who are so casual with their stuff! That is until someone steals it and they they scream “WHY ME?!”.
For instance, I get up quite early and as I look out of my windows at my neighbor’s houses, what do I see? Computer monitors! People leave their computer monitors on all night, sitting in a pitch-black room playing those wonderful screen-savers that we all love so much as if it were a blue-light special at K-Mart! If I were a thief, I’d know right where to go! Turn your monitors off! It’s as easy as a push of a button!
And don’t get me started on those women who leave their purses wide-open in the front of their shopping cart! I tell some of them about it and they act as if it can’t happen to them! WHY NOT!? They’re too good? And guess what? When Visa has to pay for what is fraudulently charged on the card, that insurance we all pay for? Well, it’s you and I who have to make up for Visa’s losses!
And why on God’s green earth would anyone put $200+ worth of CD’s so visibly in their car that when the sun is on the horizon just so, it blinds oncoming traffic? I’m talking about those people with sun-visors loaded with music money! I don’t understand that! I won’t even leave a pack of cigarettes on my console for fear that some hard-up person would smash my window just for a smoke? Does that sound preposterous? Read the newspapers!!
People are doing all that they can to makes ends meet! And now, the usual criminals (sorry to lump you all up in one) are being pushed out of the biz by white-collar guys who are going out and doing the “unthinkable”! At least when they get caught…can you imagine? GASP!
So look. Unless you relish the thought of being the Debbie-Downer at this year’s Holiday festivals as you recount your life as a victim to all of your friends, who are probably thinking that a little common sense would have averted the incident in the first place and Debbie might be a more interesting party-person if she weren’t whining…protect yourself!
Don’t give an inch to the criminals! Save it for your friends!

Oh, Those Women On “Dexter”!
I have fallen head over heels for the show “Dexter“!
Every week I wait to see Michael C. Hall, the nerdy-looking nice guy who’s the serial killer I hate to love! His twisted perspective of seeing that justice is carried out when the judicial system fails is curious! Who hasn’t wished for a little vigilantism at one time or another, right?
The only problem that I have with the show is Dexter’s women!
<Dexter…what a name>
Take his wife Rita, for instance. Julie Benz is a gorgeous woman! Beautiful!! But, after having gone through one abusive husband, living on the edge and then settling down with Dexter, you would think that she would eventually raise her voice! Instead, Rita could be yelling at the kids for backing up the toilet with the same voice that she’d tell Dex to move a little to the right!
It’s sexy and all…it’s just not real!
And what is with all of this clinging crap?! I know that it’s to make it a little hotter for Dexter to do what he needs to do but seriously?! I was about to reach into the television and shake her myself after she had the baby! I have a low tolerance for that !
Then take his sister, Debbie Morgan, played by Jennifer Carpenter who is also a beautiful woman. I cannot stand her mouth!
Who wrote this stuff!? I honestly believe that the writer gets $5 every time she says the “F” word! And it’s constant! It’s not just when she’s angry! It’s when she’s angry, when she’s kidding around, when she’s having sex or eating a hot dog on a city street! Sheesh! I actually find myself repulsed and I’m married to a construction worker and am no frilly willy when it comes to that stuff! I just can’t get over her mouth!!
And then, there is her hair and wardrobe. Seriously…they’re in Florida and she dresses more like she belongs somewhere much less dreamy in her blue/brown combination of the lowest-rising, shape-stealing pants they could find for her, which is so unattractive!! I know she’s a cop! Do the women of the Force justice!! Put Rita in a little less showy wardrobe and spread the wealth, huh?
And then comes the camera angel! Could they point out an awkward profile more often? In case I am the only one…I think her face looks shark-like at the angel they shoot her at sometimes! I am not saying that to hurt her feelings…I wouldn’t let anyone do my full-on profile either! I just don’t think they like the woman!!
Next comes hot and sexy Lieutenant Maria Laguerta, (Lauren Vélez) who almost came through unscathed until recently when she began a hot and sexy union with her co-worker, Angel Batiste (David Zayas). I like the guy…I really do! I just thought she had more brains than that! That never ends well!
But, it also seems to me as though the hair, make-up and wardrobe department is really skimping when it comes to Maria as well. Regardless of how awkward those scenes are in the bedroom, it doesn’t take much to cover up and still be sexy! She’s a hot Latina woman! Make her so Number 1!
And, I think she looks like us real women do after having sex all of the time! Hair jostled, makeup off…<if you participate> It’s just bad television policy to make a woman look like she just had sex, especially when she just had sex! Even real women freshen up before going on with our day!!
Unless…they are waiting for the other co-workers to notice and uncover their hot and sexy affair?!
Yeah…right!
EDITED 11/19/09 Apparently, the show is reading my blog. Rita is now cheating on Dexter, Deb isn’t cursing as much and the Lt. looks awesome! GOOD JOB!

Okay, So Obama’s Got Our Attention…NOW WHAT?
I can’t seem to get my head out of politics these days and it is really starting to get to me! I feel like I am losing my mind! <what’s left of it>
Actually, I would describe it more like I feel like there is a big ass sitting on my head! ha ha
Along comes this Obama guy! Winning over America with promises that he not only could NOT keep, but he never really meant most of them anyway! Barack Obama is a man who understands the power of words and he is a tricky man with his usage! And, he’s got more tricky people standing beside him, who made sure that he won this seat so that they could do what they wanted! I am not fooled!
We’ve seen it all before, but unfortunately, there are some lessons that are never learned by some, and we all have to pay the price! It isn’t right but history repeats until the lesson’s learned! Wouldn’t it be great if we were able to segregate those who “get it” from those who just refuse to learn? <I won’t be so bold as to put myself in either group>
We’re being bombarded by so much idiocy and blatant disregard for what is right that even entertainment news isn’t blowing up my bubble lately! And, it usually does! I love to know what the goof-balls in Hollywood are up to! I bet they’re pissed that they’re popularity has been upstaged by Obama! They actually might have to learn to entertain to get our attention back, huh?
Recently, I saw a picture of Angelina Jolie that was absolutely shocking! She was anorexic-thin! Pale and just plain yucky!! I couldn’t decide if it was drugs or disease, and we’ll probably never know, but that was quickly replaced in my head with bull-oney from Washington!
What the heck is that! My priorities are askew! That ain’t right!
There is only one other time that I can remember when I couldn’t think of anything else…that was September 11, 2001. That fact alone scares the crap out of me!
So, now that he has our attention:
He flies off to Switzerland to bid for the Olympics while there are major meetings and decisions that should be made about the troops in Afghanistan who are dying at warp speed because they don’t have the tools to do the job!
He pushes his idealism on the American people instead of taking the job of leader of a country he already believes in and loves! (That’s what the president’s job is, you know.)
He says that he won’t tax the middle class and then increases sales tax on things that the middle class buys!
He says that he’s helping big corporations to help us but unless you own stock in autos or pharmaceuticals!
He says to make the earth green we must conserve. I am beginning to think that Barack has special privacy in Air Force One because he flies that thing like crazy! Maybe a little hit of fresh air or something!
I could go on but that’s just further making my point that there is an overload of bull!
And then, when we speak about the attention that he’s warranting, we’re called names and accused of picking on the guy! Come on! If there’s a dunk tank, you throw the ball!
Even in prime time TV there are bits and pieces of the insanity embedded into our favorite shows! Seattle Grace is merging, or are they? <oooo> Little snippets are thrown in here and there even in kids shows about how they have to help out at home because Dad’s out of work!
Isn’t it enough that Obama already has regular TV appearances whenever he wants regardless of what is on! He loves to be in front of that camera!! Whooo!
Obama has literally taken over the nation!
But, we’re not all bowled-over! NOPE!
I try to pull myself away! I try to find something else to blog about, but these things that are permeating our lives are not just little gnats that are harmless if not swatted down, they are Jersey-sized mosquitoes full of West Nile virus!
The question is, why isn’t everyone else up in arms!? Why are people still following this golden calf? It boggles my mind! It literally hurts my brain!
I heard Andy Williams, an entertainer from long ago that many may not have heard of, saying that he really hates this president! I AM RIGHT THERE WITH YA, ANDY!
And, I was thinking…do you think that there is SO much coverage of Barack because all of the TV stations want to have exclusive coverage of any assassination attempt? Secret Service leaks say that there’s like 400 a day or something crazy like that! I wouldn’t put it past them…
I think it would be the stupidest thing for anyone to do because it will just place Barack Obama on a higher pedestal when he only deserves to be on a step stool! We’re funny like that…people are always cast in a beautiful glow when we’re GONE!
Our Government needs to stand up to this! We need to have our Hollywood Royalty back on the front pages and Washington DC buried where SNAFU is better than what has been proposed! And, there’s one way to make sure that happens!
VOTE SMART has everything you need to know! Who elected officials are, how they have voted and how they feel about issues…everything!! Go to the ballots arms with knowledge and get the dummies out of Washington!

Now When I Hear Sirens, I Know Why!
You know the feeling when your kid is out and about and you hear sirens? You suddenly go into panic mode and, of course, they don’t answer their phone when you call! Or, when you hear sirens and you smell smoke and you wonder if you should prepare for a large fire? That’s pretty common out here in the NJ Pine Barrens!
I had looked into scanners but they’re very expensive!
I figured that I’d resort to repeatedly calling my kid until she answered or worse…call all of her friends to see where she is! How humiliating! Plus, they are at risk of their friends saying something that they shouldn’t! <gasp!>
Well, thanks to a friend of mine, who also happens to be our Fire Chief, I was turned on to Radio Reference! It gives you online police, fire and emergency scanners feeds, providing your town or country participates! The whole U.S. is included and each week there seems to me more feeds coming through! FREE!
A few minutes ago I heard sirens. My daughter is out and about in town and accidents are common! I clicked onto their website and tuned into my zone and found out that there’s a small brush fire a few blocks over! Unless she caused it or has found a way to get entangled in it, she should be fine! As for the fire? Probably out by the time I hit “publish”!
Anyway…maybe this will be helpful to you!

I May Never Go Out To Eat Again!!
After reading “10 Dirty Little Restaurant Secrets“, I am reconsidering where we go for our next meal if we go at all!
I mean, seriously! I am not naive, but what some people will do to make a buck on the unsuspecting is absolutely deplorable! Serving beef that’s turned bad to the people who order their meat well done! Substituting high priced alcohol and food ingredients with cheap rip-offs! And the re-use of chips! OH!!
It really angers me because we, the consumer, put our trust in the people who are serving food that we buy! And, it seems that we pay more and more for it every time we go for smaller portions! WTH!
We are ingesting what we are buying from these people! It’s not like we’re buying a blanket or a plant or something! We’re buying prepared food! We could die from what we’re buying if someone is irresponsible, greedy and down-right scummy!
The government pays so much attention to how much sugar is in a product that you’re buying off of the shelf in a sealed container, but seems completely ignorant to the fact that we are being poisoned by one of the largest markets out there…the food-serving industry!
That makes me wonder who’s zooming who!
Why aren’t restaurants held to the same standards that mass-produced food is? At least at the grocery store, you know what you’re buying! But, if you’re out eating with your family, you could order something and get something completely different or something that could put you over the toilet for 3 days!
That is insane!!
