The Look Says It All
Well, “girl gone wild” Casey Anthony continues to shame her parents as more photos of her at a 2006 Halloween party became public and Radar Online.com has them exclusively. Watch Casey, dressed as a slutty casino waitress, make out with and bump and grind her girlfriends! <need attention much?>
The Orlando Sentinel has a One Stop Shop for all things Casey Anthony, although I believe RadarOnline has the rights to the latest scandalous photos so OS doesn’t have them yet.
I commend the folks at the Orlando Sentinel! You’ve done a great job of putting everything together! If there were an award for such things, you’d have earned it!
They’ve even created a Twitter account where you can keep tabs on what’s going on!

We will have to wait until October 12th for the murder trial to begin and while most alleged murderers just sit in jail and await trial, Casey Anthony’s trail of insanity just keeps on going and growing! It’s as if every week there is a new twist to the story, new photo’s released and unfortunately, more shame for the people left in Casey’s wake!
I sure hope that some of the younger generation is watching this story and realizing that we only know what you tell us and some things should be better left unsaid…definitely better if not done at all but, even better if they’re not immortalized on the world wide web!

The Folks of North Dakota Show How America Was Built
I got up at 4 this morning and was watching the early morning news where they were able to go slowly through a story instead of the speed-dating style the usual a.m. news is in.
Have you guys seen the story of how the residents of North Dakota have gotten together to save their town…come hell or high water or in this case, below freezing temperatures and rising water? It’s unbelievable!

“Fargo residents, backed by an army of volunteers from around the country, continued their time-pressured fight against the Red River, which had climbed to 39.43 feet by Thursday afternoon. The river could hit a record crest of up to 43 feet by Saturday — 3 feet higher than the previous city record of 40.1 set in 1897.

“On Thursday, Fargo residents and volunteers took the flood fight into their own hands, reinforcing levees with more than 2.5 million sandbags. Cass County Sheriff deputies, along with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Coast Guard, rescued more than 100 people as flood waters stranded residents in their homes, Sheriff Paul Laney said.”
Newspapers don’t show the video…it is absolutely amazing how people are forming human conveyor belts to get the bags to where they were needed! Everyone! Men, women and kids of all ages and walks of life filling over 2.5 MILLION sandbags in order to save their town in below freezing temperatures! Young teenage girls who might have just had their nails done! <I know!>
There is no waiting for the disaster to happen and then later sitting on their roofs waiting to be plucked out! There is no ignoring the inevitable because the government won’t help them or a swarm of helpless laziness throughout the town! They were given a few days (4 maybe?) notice and they’re doing what they can and it’s absolutely phenomenal!
My heart goes out to them all and I know how badly your bodies hurt and that there’s going to be a lot of frostbite and other ailments that will come from this but, I have never <?> been prouder of my country! You all remain in my thoughts and prayers!
I hope that others are watching how America was truly built! I sense a revolution coming where those who are carrying others on their backs without invitation are going to get so sick of it that we all heave them aside like those sandbags! I’d rather have a monkey on my back than a bunch of people who’ve figured out how to abuse the system so that they can get a free ride. Been doing it a long time and it may seem like the tides rolling further in that direction but, there’s people like those in Fargo all over the place who are ready, willing and able!

War? What war? Money Changes Everything!
I think it’s pretty crazy how during Tuesday’s Presidential speech, there was no mention of the war that while we are all watching the all-mighty dollar, our men and women are still fighting to defend our freedom and safety and terrorists are still plotting our demise!
Money changes everything!
Nothing takes our minds off of the tasks at hand like money!
We bitched when Bush spent money to create a stable nation where there was a horrible dictatorship that, conveniently is in the center of the terrorist’s favorite hot-spots! George Bush never forgot to mention those men and women when he addressed the Nation but, we cheer the man who spends trillions to bail out irresponsible people, large and small, as he continually snubs our men and women of the Defense!
If I had a conspiratorial mind, which I have a tendency to have sometimes, I would have to ask if this isn’t part of a bigger plan? If “they” take our minds off of the real danger for what has been proven to be more mind consuming, money! We won’t know what hit us, right?
We went from one administration whose goal was to keep us safe from radicals while they took care of the financial situation slowly and discreetly so as to not make it worse to an administration that tripled our deficit within the first two months and has basically taken our eyes off the real enemy! A person with moderate intelligence can put that package together! Come on!!
Cheney, who everyone hates so much, tried to warn us but, it was shrugged off as a last-ditch effort by the Bush administration to keep up their war agenda. Their desire to take over the world’s oil rich countries!
But, could he have been right? Could he have seen this pattern sooner than the average Joe the Plumber? (who’s not a plumber and his name’s not Joe)
Could Barack Obama have been molded to destroy us by the many terror-related and ne’er-do-well’s who had access to him in his younger years? Were his real “wise men” the ones that raised him? Not the ones he has chosen for his administration? Could their goal to be to make us a third-world country and invite Hamas to come and live here for free and keep us in line? I’m not saying that he’s an anti-christ or anything like that. I’m saying that he has a questionable past with a character that takes our minds off of that! <yes, I’m sure his administration is intelligent but that has nothing to do with wisdom>
It seems to me that we need some smelling salts so that we can get back in the ring! We need to get our priorities straight and stop all of those who are trying to hurt us even if it’s not in conventional methods! We’ve been shocked before! <did you know that “gullible” is not in the dictionary?> When I was little we had bomb drills where we hid under flimsy desks and afterward we’d ask, “can they attack us over the ocean?” to which we’d always get the same reply. “No.” 
Yeah, right!
Well, now I think we’re being attacked again and we’re so dumb-founded that we don’t know what to do! Stopping Obama’s attack by saying no to the budget he is trying to pass would be a good place to start! I’m already against the next war but, I am wise enough to remain ready!
That’s why I’ve joined Glenn Beck’s 9-12 Project! We need to get back to the mind-set that we had on September 12th 2001 when we were all united and we knew where we stood…together! President Obama has not only busted up the budget but, he’s busted up the unity that was built during that time in our lives when our priorities were straight! And, I don’t think that’s right!
We need to be Bi-Party Citizens!

I do believe that the first sign that President Obama wasn’t ready for the title of POTUS is who he chose as VP. <then again, most believe that one thing that cost McCain the position was his running mate>
In “Biden steals the show at Gridiron” on Politico.com, I read the following quote:
Can Vice President Joe Biden make a ballroom full of savvy insiders laugh at a time of economic turmoil?
Yes, he can.
Biden, filling in for President Barack Obama at Saturday night’s Gridiron Club dinner, poked fun at Obama’s charismatic persona by explaining that “he couldn’t make it because he’s busy preparing for Easter,” which in fact is still three weeks away.
“He thinks it’s about him,” Biden dead panned.
SLAM!!
I don’t care how the guy feels about his boss…that’s so out of line that I can’t imagine what it’s like behind the closed doors…besides really hot! Anderson Cooper was on Ellen last week and he validated the rumors that you could grow orchids in the White House now because Obama likes it hot! I hope you all are warm and snuggly reading this while you’re paying his electric bill! Not to mention the money we all spent to turn the White House fountain green for St. Patrick’s Day!
I know that I’ve been picking on the guy but, I’m just a simple mom just venting my inner thoughts! But, I was under the impression that public figures knew how to conduct themselves in public! Obviously not!

Kolan McConiughey Sez “Bring It On, Prez”!
After Barack gaffed at the Leno show the other night about his bowling skills being “like the Special Olympics or something”, one man in particular had something to say about it.

Kolan McConiughey is a 35 year old Special Olympics bowler who is considered “mentally disabled” and he says, “bring it on!” <sort of>
In an interview at Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kolan says that he wasn’t offended but that he thinks that Barack Obama could improve his game if he listened to his advice!

“I’d tell him to get a new bowling ball, new shoes and bring him down to the lane,” said McConiughey, who speaks with a serious stutter. “Keep his body straight, his arm straight and keep his steps straight. He has to practice every single day.“
I love this guy! In addition to five perfect games since 2005, McConiughey has also had an 800 series and carries a 212 average. And, he’s bowled 5 perfect games!!
And his attitude is phenomenal!!
“With an IQ less than half of the 100 considered average, McConiughey lives with his foster mother and has held the same job at a grocery store for 16 years. He greets customers, sweeps floors and maintains the store’s break room.
“He can’t read much, can’t do math, can’t do bill-paying,” said his foster mother, Jan Pardy. “Kolan faces all these challenges, but he has an area of genius, and his genius is bowling.”
I know that this may sound a little hypocritical <when in Rome> but, I think that President Obama should invite Kolan over next Wednesday for a bowling match! <I bet he does it!!>
And while I’m on the subject…
One thing that really got me good the other night was Obama joking <I hope he was joking> about tearing out the bowling alley and putting in a basketball court! He can’t do that! Bowling is as American as apple pie!! I am a child who spent hours in a bowling alley “day care” while my parents played on their leagues back in the 60’s! It almost broke my little heart to hear him say that! Hasn’t he changed enough already?

Obamination #8 – Barack on Leno
The world is buzzing about President Obama’s appearance on the Jay Leno show last night. It seems our president, while being “one of the guys” made a crack about his bowling skills being like the Special Olympics or something.
Obama has apologized to the Chairman of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver. He [Obama] called Mr. Shriver to say he was sorry from Air Force One even before the taped program aired late Thursday night.

“On his way back to Washington on Air Force One, Obama called the chairman of the Special Olympics, Tim Shriver, to say he was sorry — even before the taped program aired late Thursday night.
“He expressed his disappointment and he apologized in a way that was very moving. He expressed that he did not intend to humiliate this population,” Shriver said Friday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” Obama, Shriver said, wants to have some Special Olympic athletes visit the White House to bowl or play basketball.”
I’ve seen the clip and it was kind of a joke if you’re not in front of cameras and everyone is watching! It seems like Obama’s still getting used to being “out there” even after campaigning for 2 years and counting!
But, what also wasn’t funny was his jab at all of us who say that his appearance on Jay Leno, especially at a time like this, is inappropriate! He looked sarcastically at Jay and said something like, “they don’t think that I can balance the budget and be on Jay Leno at the same time”! <and I swear he was about to grab his crotch as he bent over in his seat laughing>
Um…HELLO…BARACK? YOU’RE NOT BALANCING THE BUDGET!
YOU’RE NOT THAT FUNNY!
OH! AND, AIR FORCE ONE COST $7500 AN HOUR TO RUN!
BEING ON LENO IS NEITHER STIMULATING NOR ENTERTAINING!
I know that I’m yelling but, Obama’s spending our money like there is no tomorrow! Does he know something that we should?

Disturbing Trend Toward Psychics In Uncertain Times
According to an article in USA Today, more and more people are consulting psychics with questions about the economy instead of the typical romance-related questions.

Anecdotal evidence indicates that psychics, astrologers, palm readers, Tarot card shufflers, numerologists and other paranormal specialists have become the rage as investment advisers and brokers appear clueless. After all, if the times aren’t normal, why not try the paranormal?
“Men and women are calling psychics who never thought they would call a psychic,” says Maryanne Fiedler, marketing director of Psychic Source, an online network of 165 clairvoyants who consult by phone. Many have lost jobs or retirement savings. Fiedler says her psychics don’t give investment advice. “We’re trying to ease their anxieties,” she says, by offering “reassurance.”
Having spent a decade involved in the inner circles of Sylvia Browne and her church, The Society of Novus Spiritus (aka “the psychic’s church” which is really just a tax shelter) it bothers me to no extent to hear that people are still paying good money, in this day and age, to hear someone who claims to hear things but, is really just reading people’s actions and coming to a conclusion that will suffice as a psychic revelation!
The one woman mentioned in the article, Valerie Morrison from Philadelphia states that she gets $85.00 an hour! Although that is a bargain compared to Sylvia Browne’s $800 for 20 minutes, it’s still a waste of money! Shoot! $85 is half of a good month’s electric bill!! <I said a good month, not a typical one>
Maybe this is the core of our problem? We spend so much time and money in a desperate search for what makes us feel better when the real cure is patience and perseverance…something that everyone, especially the younger generation, no longer has time for! So, we spend money to buy things that will make us feel better, if only for a while!
