I am a die-hard Dave Matthews Band fan so I was saddened to hear that Leroi Moore had an ATV accident on his farm in Virginia on Monday, June 30th. Thankfully, he has been upgraded from critical to fair condition.

Ellen Degeneres has won an Emmy for outstanding talk-show host for the fourth year in a row! The View with Whoopie has increased their chances but I don’t think that the show has just the right mix of people to win just yet…just my opinion…
And, according to People.com, while Ellen and Portia were walking the red carpet at Friday’s Daytime Emmy Award show, Ellen announced that she and Portia De Rossi have set a date for their marriage while Portia showed off her ring, a marquis cut diamond set with pink diamonds and said that they are planning their dream wedding!! That’s so cool!! I like to see people happy!!
I’m neither for or against gay marriage. It doesn’t affect me personally but I am a BIG believer in Live and Let Live. I also despise religious dogma that dictates so many aspects of our lives. Everyone should be treated equal and not ruled by a book that’s been edited for content 20-something times to suit the needs of control freaks <yes, I’m talking about the Bible>so I guess it does affect me personally!!!
I am a little shocked that Portia cut her hair!! Girl, what were you thinking?Just kidding!! You look adorable! I’ve been thinking of doing the same think but my husband doth protest too much!
<I typically don’t blog about TV shows because there are a lot of people like us who TiVo or DVR shows and watch them without commercials at our leisure. But, it’s been a few days so I feel relatively confident that this won’t spoil anything for anyone.>
So, anyway…just as my husband and I were thinking that Lost was going no where quick, they pull out all kinds of rabbits out of their hats!
We knew already ’somehow’ that Sawyer was going to jump out of the helicopter, he’s just that kind of guy but it sure put things in perspective for Jack how Kate feels, huh? I personally think it’s an easy decision…but Kate seems to make a habit of bad decisions anyway…
I did find it funny that Sawyer was able to find the exact beach that Juliette was sitting on <drinking rum…yum>. I mean…people get lost on the Lost island! That’s the foundation of the show and here he jumps off a helicopter, which would mess up his bearings anyway, and still find his way back! And he wasn’t even winded! < What a man, what a man, what a man, what a might good man!>
Jack finding out that Claire is his half-sister and that Aaron is his nephew!! Freaky, huh? Small world…
But, then Kate winds up with Aaron (not Jack) and they don’t tell Claire’s mother! And then Claire’s ’spirit’ says “don’t you dare take him back there!” so what’s Kate to do when Jack says that they have to go back!
Ben showing up behind Jack’s back at the funeral parlor wasn’t any great surprise but Locke in a casket at the end was mind-blowing!!
Sayid goes and gets Hurley out of the mental ward. Where the heck are they going and what’s the whole story with Hurley? I guess we’ll have to wait, huh?
I really applaud the writers of the show. It seemed that the writers strike was going to ruin the show but you wrapped up the season quite well. Telling us many things while leaving us with more questions than before!
I am so sorry but there are some people that I have trouble liking. I’ve tried. It’s not her looks, she’s beautiful! but I love a lot of beautiful women so it’s not an envy thing. And I haven’t walked a mile in her shoes…nor would I walk any path similar to the one I’ve seen. I don’t particularly care for Charlie Sheen so it’s not that. It’s not the Heather & Richie thing…hmmm.
I saw her on The View today as Whoopie Whooped it up with her over saying you want to protect your children and then put them in a reality show! She wasn’t even bad on the show! She was likeable and yet, I don’t! And I’m a real happy go lucky person! I like everyone a little bit!

First of all…YUM! <did I say that outloud?> Pardon my inner thoughts go astray sometimes…there’s something about Hugh Laurie that I can’t explain.
Now, my husband and I have been avid House fans since the get go! We were the same with Rescue Me. We bought all of the seasons and then all of a sudden it started to stink in Season 3!! The men in the show turned into women and it was just horrible! I hear they’re coming back in August but we’re not as pumped about it as we used to be. I hope they prove us wrong!!
So, we watched last week’s episode of House and I’ve got to say that we’re a little worried. I mean, the whole custody thing between “the Bitch” <I didn’t name her> and House over Wilson was over-the-top rediculous. What happened to good medical cases, interesting patients and House’s attitude which is what makes the show? Oh yeah…his attitude’s still there!
What have you got to say about this, House?
Ah! Just as I thought…you’re gonna stare me down!

Okay…Hannah Montana Miley Cyrus is acting like so many other teenage girls. Posing for pictures and then crying foul when they’ve been exposed! <boo hoo> Pretending to be stupid and naive is just as bad. Stupid is as stupid does.
Personally, the photo from Vanity Fair looks like a hooker (a very young one) who’s just had all-out sex! My Goodness! See how her lipstick is all smeared? And those ribs sticking out of her porcelain white skin! Are they starving her to make her more “sell-able” and exactly to whom are they trying to sell her?
But to say you’re embarrassed after the Vanity Fair photo and throwing Annie Leibovitz under the bus is too much!! I know of Vanity Fair’s photo style and I’m just a housewife from NJ <well, not ‘just’ but figure of speech keeps me saying that> and I know what types of art Leibovitz creates and what types of photos each magazine is known for! Are the Cyrus’ telling me that they were unaware?
But, then we see the photo of you on your MySpace where you’re flashing your nipple through a pretty green bra to your boyfriend <and that is probably the mildest of photo’s you have on your computer…I have an 18 year old daughter> it’s really hard to take you seriously when you say you’re embarrassed!

And, we’ve all seen how Billy Ray has reacted to this…..by embracing his daughter <EWWW!!>in almost the exact same way her boyfriend did in one of the MySpace photos (although some are saying it’s not her).
But how is her mother reacting to this? Has anyone even seen her mother?
It seems that Miley is playing cat and mouse with the well-known fact that the scandalous greasy wheels in Hollywood get the most PR but they don’t necessarily get the gig!! If the newest generation of Hollywood Sloshers haven’t figured it out yet, that the real stars are the ones who do it for the gift and the art. The ones who slosh and shake their way down Hollywood and Vine may get a movie that goes right to DVD on release <right Lindsay?> which might pay for their partying, but you can’t really call them actors or even entertainers…unless you’re a TMZ freak! <hello>
I do believe this girl [Montana] is using bad publicity to boost her career (or at least testing out the waters) but unless you’ve got talent like Vanessa Williams who was ousted from Miss America due to racy pictures which, compared to what’s come out since they were mild, you’ll only make it into the Hollywood’s Walk of Shame.

I caught a few minutes of the episode a few weeks ago where Montel & Sylvia were talking about this (his show not being renewed) and she acted so casual about it saying stuff like “Oh Montel, you’ll do fine” in her ‘I can’t believe I’m wasting time talking about this’ way and I thought to myself, “I wonder what Montel’s saying right now in his head? “F You Sylvia?” or “I wouldn’t believe you if you predicted the obvious?”

Somehow ‘her people’ got her booked at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas which really doesn’t change my perception to the town (no offense). She’ll be joining the likes of Louie Anderson and the Thunder from Down Under (Australian Male Hotties)!! Ticket prices are $82.50 for preferred seating and and $137.50 for VIP Seating! That’s steep!!
Well, at least the casino got it right. They have her listed under “Entertainment” and Sylvia Browne should only be considered for Entertainment Purposes Only. A term used when unhappy customers who pay $750 for a reading with her or $500 for a reading with her son, Chris try to get a refund!! For this fee you will be chatted with for 20 minutes and then given a bunch of cold reading answers that most should not be taken seriously! Thankfully they only last 30 minutes so people will only be subjected to 30 minutes of bullshit!
I wonder, if given the choice, how many ladies would choose the “Thunder from Down Under” show which only costs $39.95 for general seating and $49.95 for VIP seating rather than putting up with that raspy-voiced charlatan Sylvia Browne?

This is the greatest show! It’s beautiful on the eyes…not just in the cast because some of them are not your typical LA beautiful but they’re still beautiful, you know what I mean? I mean that it’s filmed in a calming manner…not all jumpy.
Anyway! That’s not what I logged on to write about…
I loved the way that they took the David Hasselhoff situation and gave you the perspective of what if that video of him all drunk and slobbering was leaked to the press to boost his daughter’s budding career. Hollywood seems to thrive on the concept of bad attention is better than no attention at all!
And the way that they took the Britney situation and gave a little twist of an idea of what could have been going on behind the scenes!
Brilliant stuff and yet they give us only 7 episodes!!!
That’s just not nice Courtney!!
And if anyone of important stumbles in here, get rid of Colt. He’s yucky. That’s all I’ll say about that…
Keep showing us the twistedness of the voyerism that has become the grease of the Hollywood wheels!
Between you and Ashton Kutcher’s show “Pop Fiction” where the celebrities set up the paparazi so that nobody ever knows if the stories they’re covering are true or not.
Personally, I think Matthew MacConahey is in on it with this mystery girl that shows up pregnant by him and he’s all happy and stuff…I’m not buying it and that’s not just womanly feelings I may have for the guy…it’s higher, in the gut!
