Oh, Those Women On “Dexter”!
I have fallen head over heels for the show “Dexter“!
Every week I wait to see Michael C. Hall, the nerdy-looking nice guy who’s the serial killer I hate to love! His twisted perspective of seeing that justice is carried out when the judicial system fails is curious! Who hasn’t wished for a little vigilantism at one time or another, right?
The only problem that I have with the show is Dexter’s women!
<Dexter…what a name>
Take his wife Rita, for instance. Julie Benz is a gorgeous woman! Beautiful!! But, after having gone through one abusive husband, living on the edge and then settling down with Dexter, you would think that she would eventually raise her voice! Instead, Rita could be yelling at the kids for backing up the toilet with the same voice that she’d tell Dex to move a little to the right!
It’s sexy and all…it’s just not real!
And what is with all of this clinging crap?! I know that it’s to make it a little hotter for Dexter to do what he needs to do but seriously?! I was about to reach into the television and shake her myself after she had the baby! I have a low tolerance for that !
Then take his sister, Debbie Morgan, played by Jennifer Carpenter who is also a beautiful woman. I cannot stand her mouth!
Who wrote this stuff!? I honestly believe that the writer gets $5 every time she says the “F” word! And it’s constant! It’s not just when she’s angry! It’s when she’s angry, when she’s kidding around, when she’s having sex or eating a hot dog on a city street! Sheesh! I actually find myself repulsed and I’m married to a construction worker and am no frilly willy when it comes to that stuff! I just can’t get over her mouth!!
And then, there is her hair and wardrobe. Seriously…they’re in Florida and she dresses more like she belongs somewhere much less dreamy in her blue/brown combination of the lowest-rising, shape-stealing pants they could find for her, which is so unattractive!! I know she’s a cop! Do the women of the Force justice!! Put Rita in a little less showy wardrobe and spread the wealth, huh?
And then comes the camera angel! Could they point out an awkward profile more often? In case I am the only one…I think her face looks shark-like at the angel they shoot her at sometimes! I am not saying that to hurt her feelings…I wouldn’t let anyone do my full-on profile either! I just don’t think they like the woman!!
Next comes hot and sexy Lieutenant Maria Laguerta, (Lauren Vélez) who almost came through unscathed until recently when she began a hot and sexy union with her co-worker, Angel Batiste (David Zayas). I like the guy…I really do! I just thought she had more brains than that! That never ends well!
But, it also seems to me as though the hair, make-up and wardrobe department is really skimping when it comes to Maria as well. Regardless of how awkward those scenes are in the bedroom, it doesn’t take much to cover up and still be sexy! She’s a hot Latina woman! Make her so Number 1!
And, I think she looks like us real women do after having sex all of the time! Hair jostled, makeup off…<if you participate> It’s just bad television policy to make a woman look like she just had sex, especially when she just had sex! Even real women freshen up before going on with our day!!
Unless…they are waiting for the other co-workers to notice and uncover their hot and sexy affair?!
Yeah…right!
EDITED 11/19/09 Apparently, the show is reading my blog. Rita is now cheating on Dexter, Deb isn’t cursing as much and the Lt. looks awesome! GOOD JOB!

Okay, So Obama’s Got Our Attention…NOW WHAT?
I can’t seem to get my head out of politics these days and it is really starting to get to me! I feel like I am losing my mind! <what’s left of it>
Actually, I would describe it more like I feel like there is a big ass sitting on my head! ha ha
Along comes this Obama guy! Winning over America with promises that he not only could NOT keep, but he never really meant most of them anyway! Barack Obama is a man who understands the power of words and he is a tricky man with his usage! And, he’s got more tricky people standing beside him, who made sure that he won this seat so that they could do what they wanted! I am not fooled!
We’ve seen it all before, but unfortunately, there are some lessons that are never learned by some, and we all have to pay the price! It isn’t right but history repeats until the lesson’s learned! Wouldn’t it be great if we were able to segregate those who “get it” from those who just refuse to learn? <I won’t be so bold as to put myself in either group>
We’re being bombarded by so much idiocy and blatant disregard for what is right that even entertainment news isn’t blowing up my bubble lately! And, it usually does! I love to know what the goof-balls in Hollywood are up to! I bet they’re pissed that they’re popularity has been upstaged by Obama! They actually might have to learn to entertain to get our attention back, huh?
Recently, I saw a picture of Angelina Jolie that was absolutely shocking! She was anorexic-thin! Pale and just plain yucky!! I couldn’t decide if it was drugs or disease, and we’ll probably never know, but that was quickly replaced in my head with bull-oney from Washington!
What the heck is that! My priorities are askew! That ain’t right!
There is only one other time that I can remember when I couldn’t think of anything else…that was September 11, 2001. That fact alone scares the crap out of me!
So, now that he has our attention:
He flies off to Switzerland to bid for the Olympics while there are major meetings and decisions that should be made about the troops in Afghanistan who are dying at warp speed because they don’t have the tools to do the job!
He pushes his idealism on the American people instead of taking the job of leader of a country he already believes in and loves! (That’s what the president’s job is, you know.)
He says that he won’t tax the middle class and then increases sales tax on things that the middle class buys!
He says that he’s helping big corporations to help us but unless you own stock in autos or pharmaceuticals!
He says to make the earth green we must conserve. I am beginning to think that Barack has special privacy in Air Force One because he flies that thing like crazy! Maybe a little hit of fresh air or something!
I could go on but that’s just further making my point that there is an overload of bull!
And then, when we speak about the attention that he’s warranting, we’re called names and accused of picking on the guy! Come on! If there’s a dunk tank, you throw the ball!
Even in prime time TV there are bits and pieces of the insanity embedded into our favorite shows! Seattle Grace is merging, or are they? <oooo> Little snippets are thrown in here and there even in kids shows about how they have to help out at home because Dad’s out of work!
Isn’t it enough that Obama already has regular TV appearances whenever he wants regardless of what is on! He loves to be in front of that camera!! Whooo!
Obama has literally taken over the nation!
But, we’re not all bowled-over! NOPE!
I try to pull myself away! I try to find something else to blog about, but these things that are permeating our lives are not just little gnats that are harmless if not swatted down, they are Jersey-sized mosquitoes full of West Nile virus!
The question is, why isn’t everyone else up in arms!? Why are people still following this golden calf? It boggles my mind! It literally hurts my brain!
I heard Andy Williams, an entertainer from long ago that many may not have heard of, saying that he really hates this president! I AM RIGHT THERE WITH YA, ANDY!
And, I was thinking…do you think that there is SO much coverage of Barack because all of the TV stations want to have exclusive coverage of any assassination attempt? Secret Service leaks say that there’s like 400 a day or something crazy like that! I wouldn’t put it past them…
I think it would be the stupidest thing for anyone to do because it will just place Barack Obama on a higher pedestal when he only deserves to be on a step stool! We’re funny like that…people are always cast in a beautiful glow when we’re GONE!
Our Government needs to stand up to this! We need to have our Hollywood Royalty back on the front pages and Washington DC buried where SNAFU is better than what has been proposed! And, there’s one way to make sure that happens!
VOTE SMART has everything you need to know! Who elected officials are, how they have voted and how they feel about issues…everything!! Go to the ballots arms with knowledge and get the dummies out of Washington!

Mackenzie Phillips Tells Too Much About Her Good Times
In Mackenzie Phillips‘ new book, “High on Arrival“, she tells about having an incestuous relationship with her father, John Phillips of Mama’s and Papa’s fame!
Seriously!
I was reading an article on “People”, “Mackenzie Phillips: I Slept with My Own Father” and I everything I had eaten or thought of eating in the last 24 hours started swirling in my stomach!
Is this just a way to get people to buy her book? That’s SO lame! That is NOT a secret to tell people!
Especially in a world where there are so many who are being abused! Now they’re abuser has an example of a “good girl”! (insert words that should not be said in mixed company here)
And she’s slamming the crap out of her father who’s not here to defend himself! She says that they considered moving to where such a relationship was considered acceptable! UGH!
She’s either broke or jealous that Valerie Bertinelli is doing so well! AGAIN!
Do you realize that while you were watching “One Day at a Time” she was “juiced up” from her dad? My God!! That’s so gross! Has she no shame? All of this to sell a book? I know that times are hard, but to throw your dad under the bus leaves no one else safe!

What Does John Travolta and Larry the Cable Guy Have In Common?
They both said, “Get ‘er done” famously!
When you hear that catch phrase, you think of Larry the Cable Guy, right? Me too!
But, I was watching “Carrie” this past weekend and I noticed that when John Travolta’s character, Billy Nolan and the boys are getting ready to bash a pig over the head and the lightening was flashing, and the thunder and rain! And as one of the guys starts to back out, Billy Nolan says, “get ‘er done” before going in and doing the dirty work himself!
Not “get her done” but “get ‘er done“! Neat, huh?

Is There Anyone Who’s Not On Drugs Anymore? (Billy Mays A User?)
Reports came out that Billy Mays, the who sold everything you’ve ever wanted or needed, was a user of cocaine, hydrocodone, oxycodone and tramadol, as well as anti-anxiety drugs alprazolam and diazepam!
I’m shocked! Not Billy Mays too!
He did have an underlying heart condition, which was the main cause of death, but cocaine listed as a contributing factor! I don’t think that at his age he was unaware of his blood pressure!
To be able to get his hands on some of these medications makes me wonder as to the validity of his sources. I know…shoulda been a detective! Diazepam isn’t usually handed out easily, nor are all of those medications prescribed at one time! Another case of doctor shopping? Or the old fashioned way…a kid around the block?!
That is SO messed up!
Billy Mays was a straight-up guy and here he is, just like most of society, blocking out the reality of life with medications right under our very noses! WTH!!

Today’s society has created a bunch of pill-poppers to the point that a person getting caught with pills isn’t even that shocking anymore! <Don’t get caught doing a bong-hit though!>
We start them out in kindergarten because they don’t want to sit still! Then when school gets really boring, we put them on speed so that they’ll at least look like they’re paying attention! Then they get depressed so we put them on anti-depressants! And then they grow up and get on anti-anxiety medication because we put so much on our plates than we can’t keep it straight! So, instead of dealing with it we go on a medication that strips us of our personality in order to keep us from losing our minds!! Why deal?
That’s messed up…Wake Up!

So, How Does Ted Nugent Really Feel About Obama?
You may not like his music, you may not like his shows. But, if you’ve ever heard Ted Nugent speak, you know that the man is much more than an awesome guitar player! He is the epitome of the lifestyle that made this country was it is…or was! And he is brilliant really smart!
I don’t like his hunting ‘thang’ but it is natural as long as you use every bit of it, which Ted does. But, when he speaks about current event issues, you almost wish he’d run for office!!
So, how does Ted feel about our present situation?

In an article on Spinner we find out:

Give Micheal His Brain Back…Wherever He Is!
Poor Micheal’s body! Even in death, it cannot rest in peace! WTH!!
As you know, they have extracted his brain for further analysis which reports say can even show childhood abuse as well as signs of overdose and other chemical imbalances that may explain Micheal’s “strange” behavior.
I do not understand the depths that his family will go through in order to try to find some reason as to why Micheal was Micheal! Isn’t that weird? Actually, they’re looking for another cause of death than a drug overdose.
Hey! Look! If it was a heart attack or other arterial disease, it would have shown on the first autopsy as well as the highly unnecessary second autopsy! He was not strangled! He didn’t burn to death! He didn’t have cancer! He was not raped or mutilated neither before or after passing!
What the hell are you looking for!!!
Anyway…
Since they cannot/should not bury a body without its brain, some reports say that Micheal is being held in Barry Gordy’s crypt at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. It’s nice of Barry to lend his crypt to Micheal, but his body could be there for a long time as reports say that they have to wait for the brain, which is sitting in a lab in a bottle of formaldehyde, to slightly harden for testing!
Isn’t that gross!?

I have to wonder if Micheal’s wishes are being honored! If there was a will, then there was a sense of what he wanted when he died and I feel that this isn’t what he wanted but then again, I didn’t know the guy. But, I also have to wonder if it is the family who is taking over, doing what they think is best…or what will bring in the most dough! Sorry, but if it looks like a duck…
If they thought Micheal was crazy then they can justify doing things their way, right? I hope the judicial system sees all of these nut-bags coming! I’m sure they’re even crazy enough to try to do a 5150 even while he’s laying in a crypt!
And, just look at Micheal’s pimp-daddy! No wonder the guy was left out of the will! He’s disgusting!
But, Micheal’s children will be thrust into pimp-daddy’s tentacles because they are with Katherine!
Does that make sense? Not really!

I just hope that Janet winds up raising them. Out of all of the possibilities, she is the most stable and the most capable of keeping their lives as private as they want them to be. I cannot even fathom the thought of them being separated and raised by Debbie Rowe! I don’t think she is interested in anything but horses!
Does anyone find it strange the none of the kids have Rowe’s jaw? That’s a good thing, but strange just the same…

“Not Into You” Not A Comedy But Worth The Watch
I admit that I thought that “He’s Just Not That Into You” was a comedy but after watching it Saturday night I realized that a movie that deals with the awkward and sometimes warped stage of dating and relationships really can’t be all that funny!
The only laughs it gave me were ones of sarcastic disbelief at how screwed up people are in relationships! How warped some see them, how warped some treat them and how warped they can become in a blink of an eye!
Oddly, I found myself rooting for the guys instead of the girls this time, which may have been the intent, I don’t know, but Ginnifer Goodwin’s character was really pathetic! <sorry Sweetie! I think you’re fabulous!> I wish that I could take back all of the desperate things I did in the past but hey! We’re only human!
And, because of her naivety we got to see a lot of Justin Long which is always a good thing! I love that guy!
And to say that it’s really good to see Ben Affleck in a good movie role is an understatement! Good job, Dude! Got a good wife, adorable baby and better decision making skills! Growing up is painful but being grown-up ain’t all that bad, huh?
I was a little surprised at how Jennifer Aniston appeared a little old, <I am one of her biggest fans> but that may be how Drew Barrymore and the other executive producers wanted it. Her clock is ticking…7 years with a guy and no commitment other than he’s been with you for 7 years! 
I really hate to see her so scrutinized! The worst thing she could have ever done was being affiliated with Brad Pitt-Jolie!!
Scarlett Johansson was gorgeous and as you can see from IMDB, there are tons of cool actors in this movie!
Drew and her crew did a phenomenal job! I loved the the style of the movie…it was very well done! But like I said, if you’re like me and haven’t read the book or heard the hype, “not into you” is not really a comedy but it is worth the watch!

Random Thoughts about MJ
Amazingly, Michael Jackson still dominates the airwaves ten days after passing away!
I wonder how long the mourning went for Elvis? I guess that for some it is still going on…
As a news junkie, I am subjected to repeated “breaking news alerts” that repeat information that came out 5 days ago!
So, while I’m watching all of this stuff, I’m thinking to myself the obvious…which I already stated in previous articles… you know, the ‘drug addict who doesn’t pay his bills but can dance and sing getting all of the praise’ aspect of it. Hypocrisy and double-standards suck!
But, another thing that caught my eye literally was the fact that Michael Jackson was a fine-looking young man back in the day! Damn! I was watching a video of him singing “No Mountain High Enough”, or whatever it’s called, with Diana Ross and I’m like, “Damn! He was freaking gorgeous!”
I am well aware of the warped vision that some see themselves with but it is hard to understand when a good-looking person complains about their nose or something! It makes you just wanna smack the thing right off their face, you know?!
Knowing that the Jackson kids were pimped out and the whole family was mistreated by their dad, I can understand him having issues.
But, instead of being a spokes-person for the survival of childhood abuse, he became a freak!
He let his dad win! That’s wrong!
And then there’s this aspect…
There was a story here in Philly last month about the rape of an 11-year old. I thought to myself, “someone is going to expect her to be ‘normal’ someday” like when she gets married! <sexually “normal” ~ that’s messed up!>
I have my own history and I pray for that girl and those like her every day and because of this stuff, I somewhat understand MJ’s peculiarity!
Maybe he did a 180 from his father but he went way overboard! Treating young boys as “precious gifts” rather than being pimped out by your disgusting old man! Who knows? Hard to tell in a case like his…people milking him drier than he already was… Maybe he just liked having sleepovers and providing alcohol and freedom that they never get anywhere else! Of course kids would clamor there but then someone saw an opportunity to take advantage of Micheal’s being different to sue him for inappropriate relations. I can’t say whether he molested boys or not but Lisa Marie Presley said she’d stay there with Michael and her boys but if she didn’t know Michael, she would never leave her kids there! I think that once those boys who accused him grow up, we’ll know the truth.
Just a thought…
And maybe he got so eccentric because it is what kept him in the limelight! Lots of entertainers know that even with talent, you have to have a hook! Look at Liberace!!
OH! And then his dad came out to look at the growing memorial and he and his sidekick promoted their own record label with the enthusiasm of a red carpet walk! I sure hope karma bites him in the ass soon!!
Anyway…that’s what I was thinking about…
He was gorgeous and torn-up! That’s a shame!
They say that he knew that he couldn’t perform the upcoming 50-concert tour and that is why he overdid it. “They”, you know…”they” say that is why Michael was so desperate to get the drug because the tour was set to begin soon! Tons of us can relate to the day we realize that our age has made us a fraction of the person we used to be. It is disconcerting, to say the least!
It’s almost easy to understand why he wanted the merry-go-’round to stop!
What I don’t understand is the amount of people who are willing to overlook the real man because I’d bet dollars to donuts that all of those people who are out there memorializing him have an entertainer that they won’t watch because of their political views or something like that, you know? Their own Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon! But, they’ll stand in crowds for days to say goodbye to a man who once upon a time dance and sang! And there are so many outstanding artists who don’t get that kind of attention because they’re not over-the-top different! That’s a shame!
That’s alright though…We all reach perfection in others’ eyes when we’re getting put into the ground.
I can only imagine his three kids’ futures but I hope they learned one thing from their father!
Do not self-destruct!
I do hope that after Tuesday’s service, this all stops! I’m pretty sick of Hollywood permeating my news-time! There’s things going on in the world that really matter and people are more interested in this guy!
It’s that mentality that make me no longer wonder why we’re in the shape that we’re in!

Surprised that Jackson Danced Two Days Before Dying?
News reports see a clue in the fact that Jackson looked good a few days before dying.
Come on!
There are some people who cannot function without drugs!
Artists of all sorts are tested when they are forced to be artists without their “mental muse”!
Of course Michael would be able to perform under the influence! Of course he was “hot” at the rehearsal! He was a freaking’ pro! Not just at dancing, either! That boy knew his drug and he wasn’t afraid to use them!
Anyway…Don’t be so gullible!
